Most people will know Peter Capaldi as the twelfth Doctor Who and as Malcolm Tucker from the political satire, The Thick Of It. But there is a whole lot more in his arsenal. A graduate of the Glasgow School of Art, Capaldi first came to prominence as the singer/guitarist in the post-punk band The Dreamboys which also featured Craig Ferguson. Fast forward forty odd years and the actor is returning to music with a 2025 album, Sweet Illusions due to be released on the Last Night From Glasgow record label.
Ahead of that, Capaldi, with full band played a low-key gig at Stereo to run through the songs. Into Creative’s Brian Davidson was fortunate enough to make the show and reports back below on what he heard and saw.
