Artist: OKIRO
Song: Deep Love
Label: Modern Sky Records

Timo Tierney, the lead singer in Liverpool’s Tea Street Band has been busy during lockdown with his side project, OKIRO.

With an album, City Pets, due to drop on 31 July, the second single, Deep Love is released today (15 July 2020) and follows on from the first single NEWSE, which Into Creative reviewed here.

Deep Love is a signature summer tune, firing off laser beams and Balearic beats, glimmering and shining in a hot haze of pulsing rhythms, sliding synth and hypnotic bass sounds, and Into Creative are pretty thrilled to be hosting its premiere. Tierney’s vocal provides velvet tones and hues, imbibing on a psychedelic journey which will momentarily take you away to your own private Nirvana.

The track’s video features footage of old-school club culture as well as seaside funfair attractions which channel the song’s vibe to a T.

Tierney has this to say about the new single:

Summer is here and we’re coming out of lockdown faster than we maybe all expected. A tune with a catchy chorus and one to make you think of seeing all your friends and having a good dance.”

Deep Love by OKIRO is available to stream here and the album City Pets is available to pre-save here.
